Other Services

Mass is celebrated in most college chapels once a term, thanks to the generous hospitality of the college chaplains. (See Chaplaincy termcard for details).  

Confessions are heard on Thursdays from 6:30-7pm (term only), Saturdays from 11:15am-12noon and Sundays from 10:15-10:45am, or upon request. 

Once a term, the Chaplaincy, with help from the Newman Society, organises Nightfever at Blackfriars: an evening of prayer, adoration and evangelisation.

Other Services

Vespers is sung in Latin on Sundays at 5:30pm, followed by Benediction at 6:00pm. 

Confessions are heard 20 minutes before all Masses and on Saturdays from 10:30–11:00am and 5:00–6:30pm. 

The Rosary is recited in church from Monday to Friday after the 10:00am Mass. 

There is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturdays from 5:00–6:15pm and during Holy Hour, which starts at 5:00pm on Fridays, with Benediction at 5:45pm. 

There is a Blessing with St Philip’s Relic after the 6:00pm Mass on Mondays.
